Taos Art Museum 4th Annual Auction Gala (absentee bids are being accepted now)

A Russian Night in Taos is again the theme for this year’s Gala Auction. The annual black tie and boots gala is one of the most anticipated events in Northern New Mexico. The event will feature an elegant dinner, live auction, silent auction and dancing. J Fine Art is pleased to have donated artwork to this charity auction, these pieces are currently available for bid at the Taos Art Museum & Fechin House. www.taosartmuseum.org

Travel through the Southwest region with our new abstract and realism landscapes captured on canvas, plexiglass, and metal. Childers builds her richly colored abstract landscapes layer upon layer, carving through the final layers for a textured finish. Krupke's realist landscapes concentrate on a moment in time, her drastic control of light sets a mood in the viewer. Please join us in exploring the treasured landscapes of the Southwest.

Colorful, fluid, diverse, and full of light. Ngo captures this feeling with her multicolored, richly textured mixed media on canvas. Maas uses an emphasis on depth and light to draw you into her luminescent canvas pieces. Childers allows the light to glimmer through vivid layers of color on plexi glass and glass vases. Paying homage to male artists, J Fine Art will be presenting new work by Justin Earl West, Robert Charon, and Peter Kuttner. West works exclusively with steel, laboring until the colors and textures of the enduring metal give to his touch. Charon uses strong colors and clean lines to give his work a depth that calls viewers to reflection while Kuttner organic, minimalist approach offers a sophisticated mood to his work.
